Firstly, I recommend you to spend a couple of days in the beautiful city Sandomierz. It is an old city located by the Vistula River. There are many historic buildings, the unique market square, the amazing cathedral and a lot of narrow streets, which create the breathtaking atmosphere. Moreover, there is a very famous tourist route, from which tourists can see many magnificent views.
The other beautiful city in Poland is Krakow. It is one of the oldest Polish towns and it is located about 160 km west from Sandomierz. Krakow belongs to the most amazing towns in Poland. There are always a lot of travelers and tourists from different part of the world. There are also a lot of interesting and unique sights to visit. First of them is royal castle Wawel. Each year a lot of foreign tourists come to see its famous royal chambers, unique collection and the nearby chapel with the huge bell and royal tombs. Another attraction is so called dragon lair, which is situated at the foot of royal castle. The entry to the liar is guarded by the dragon sculpture. Sometimes the dragon belches fire to visiting children delight. The main market, which is located in the middle of the city, is the tourists' favourite place. There are a lot of restaurants and cafés, where they can try traditional Polish cuisine. In Sukiennice visitors often buy some souvenirs. If you are bored with visiting, you can go to the one of Krakow's theater or cinema. Usually there is a great variety of shows and performances.
During rainy days a good option could be the visit in Wieliczka. It is the famous salt mine and it is located about 12 kilometers from the city centre. You can go there by train or bus. In Wieliczka you will take part in the amazing underground tour through the historic part of the mine. You will remember it for a long time!
The last place I would like to strongly recommend is Zakopane. There you should finish your trip around Poland. Zakopane is known as the winter capital of Poland. The town is located in the heart of the Tatra Mountains. If you are fond of folklore, there you will be very close to the specific Polish culture and folklore. Moreover, there are a lot of magnificent views spreading over the Tatra Mountains. Zakopane is worth seeing not only in winter, but also during summer. In every season there are a lot of interesting events. Every one will find something interesting there. You should try the original food, which is typical for that region. I hope you will love the Polish cuisine.
