Paris is one of the most exciting and interesting cities of Europe, crowded with thousands of tourists coming every year from all over the world. For many years, it was my dream to visit that amazing city and last year the dream finally came true.
I travelled to France by plane and arrived at Charles de Gaulle airport in the evening. I saw the Eiffel Tower for the first time from the taxi that was taking me to the hotel. I was amazed, I never though that it is such an enormous construction. I was going to take a night walk to see Paris by night but I was so tired that soon after arriving at the hotel and unpacking my things I fell asleep. Next day sunshine coming to my room through the open window woke me up early in the morning. I had traditional French breakfast consisting of delicious, crispy croissants filled with chocolate and a cup of coffee with milk. After breakfast, I started to do sightseeing of Paris. First, I went to the Louver, the worldwide known museum housing famous and beautiful paintings, among which there is "Mona Lisa" painted by Leonardo da Vinci. The next important place I saw to was the Triumphal Arch. This large monument, resembling in its shape a gate, was built to commemorate some important event. As it was lunchtime, I became hungry and decided to have lunch at the restaurant. I wanted to try traditional French cuisine therefore I ordered snails. The dish did not look appealing to me, nevertheless I forced myself to try it. The dish turned out to be really tasty. It was followed by some French cheese and lettuce salad. I also drank delicious French wine which the French believe to have good influence on our digestive processes. Having eaten that excellent lunch, I decided that before I left Paris, I would try another famous French food -frogs' legs.
After lunch, I visited another famous tourist spot which was the Notre-Dame Cathedral, where a tour guide told me a legend of the ugly bell ringer of the Notre-Dame.
In the afternoon, I went to the most characteristic landmark of Paris-to the Eiffel Tower. Then I could admire that awesome building standing just in front of the tower. I wanted to take an elevator to get to the top of the tower and to see the view of the whole city, however it turned out that the queue to the elevator was so long that I decided to climb the stairs. As the Eiffel Tower is extremely high, it took me a lot of time to reach the top of it. I was really exhausted when I finally got there but the panorama of the city that I could enjoy from the top of the Eiffel Tower was worthy of my effort. The view was absolutely amazing, it made me realize that Paris is a really large metropolis.
In the evening, although I was tired after the whole day of sightseeing, I went to the pub to see what Paris night life look like. The French turned out to be really friendly and sociable people and I spent a really enjoyable night.
Next day was full of fun and excitement as I went to Disneyland, which is situated nor far from Paris. I tried rides in all roller coasters which involved a lot of screaming of all the people taking the ride. I spent there all day, behaving and feeling like a child. In the evening I watched parade of all famous characters from the Disney's cartoons; so I met Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck or Winnie the Pooh. I had a really good time there and was back in my hotel room late in the evening.
Next day was my last day in Paris. After breakfast, I packed my suitcases and went to the city centre to buy some souvenirs for my friends and family. After lunch I set off to Warsaw where my plane landed at 5 p.m.
My trip to Paris was really amazing and I am now in love with the city. I did not manage to carry out my plan to try frogs' legs therefore I believe that I will come back to Paris.
