Dear Mark

Thanks a lot for your last letter. I'm really glad that you've finally decided to visit me in London. I wish you could stay with me all summer but I understand that you can't have such long holidays.

You won't manage to see in such a short period of time all that's worth seeing in London but I'll try to show you the most famous and important tourist attractions. You definitely must see Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey. I'll also show you Buckingham Palace where you'll watch the famous ceremony of Changing of the Guard. I know that you're very interested in art so we'll also go to the Nationall Gallery and to the British Museum. Of course, a walk along the Thames and a picnick lunch in the Hyde Park are also included in othe plan of your trip. I'm going to take you to the Oxford Street and Piccadilly Circus, where you can buy some souvenirs and then we'll visit Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. I think that we also should take a flight in the London Eye- then you'll have a chance to see all the most important London's tourist spots in just 30 minutes! If we have enough time, we'll have lunch in Chinatown and then I'll show you Soho. And, of course, we must visit Natural History Museum to see the skeletons of dinosaurs!

It's a pity you hadn't visited London earlier, when the red double dekker buses were still in use. They were characterisitic of London and it was possible then to take a sightseeing tour around the city. But now, unfortunately, you can see the double dekkers only in a museum.

Of course, I'm also going to show you the nightlife and social life of London. And I'll take you to a traditional English pub where you'll try English beer.

If there are any other places you want to visit and I haven't included them in the plan of your trip, just let me know.

I'm looking forward to your coming.

See you soon

Tom
