For many of us it is difficult to imagine that we may be able to decide, what will be the sex of our child. But it is no more impossible to choose not only the sex, but also the height, color of the eyes or hair. The genetic engineers progress in their investigations. They have already been able to do things, which we could not imagine before. What more will they be able to do?
Most of people have some ideal image of themselves. They want to look different than they do. If the scientists are able to clone a human being without any disadvantage, we will be able to make ourselves look perfect. Many people consider it great, but in my mind it is not so wonderful. What if someone decides to make a copy of some dangerous people? Is it really so safe to intervene in nature so much?
In my opinion, all things and events in the world have their advantages and disadvantages. It is just the same with cloning. It would be great to make copies of your own organs in case you need to exchange one of them. Anytime your life is in danger, the organs might be ready to be transplanted. But what if it is necessary to clone the whole person and than kill it to get the organs? Is it still ethical?
As the researches proceed, more and more questions arise. Is it good that we change the natural way of things so much? Is it legal to experiment on human's lives? Perhaps we will be able to answer them in the future.
