Every person has its own rhythm, its own internal clock. It causes different forms of behavior during the day. The clock inside our bodies informs us, what we need. It tells us, when to go to sleep, when and what to eat… Usually it makes us sleep at night, work or eat during the day. However, there are people, whose body clocks work in a different way. I may serve as an example. On Fridays, when I go to the disco or other party, I don't feel sleepy for the whole night. Moreover, I feel hunger during such nights. Another thing is that I always feel sleepy in daytime. When I have a free day, I get up at 1 p.m. and I start the day in the afternoon. I am full of energy not earlier than after 3 p.m. every day. There exists a theory, which considers body clocks. Someone, who cannot get up in the morning and is active in the evening is called an 'owl'. I really can work hard till late in the night, but getting up is a torment for me. That's why I do my homework to 3 a.m. and afterwards I watch some film. I go to sleep after 4. I know it is not really good, but I simply cannot fall asleep earlier. I already tried to go to sleep in the evening, at 10 or 11 p.m. but I was unable to do it. Each morning is horrible. My sister and my mother have to wake me up. I have 4 alarm clocks, but they are useless. I am often late to school because of that, but there is nothing I can do about it.

In the theory I mentioned, the other type of people is called 'larks'. They like staying up early in the morning and they go to sleep in the evening. They work effectively during the day and are sleepy at night. they have no problems with getting up.

I would like to be the person of the second kind. As a 'lark' I would be able to work normally. I wouldn't have to worry that I will be late to school or to work. It is good that most people are 'larks' because they are more responsible than 'owls'.
