When I saw "the Matrix" in the cinema I immediately thought: "it is a really great movie." The main character of the film is a computer expert Thomas Anderson (played by Keanu Reeves). He works for a software company but he is also a computer hacker (nickname "Neo") although no one knows about it. One day a mysterious man called Morpheus contacts him and tells him the truth about the world Neo lives in. Here the action of the film really begins.
The heroes must frequently fight with the powerful agents of the Matrix. Those fight sequences are one most attractive elements of the movie. They look amazingly. Especially the way in which the actors jump, dodge bullets and fight in the mid-air. The people responsible for the special effects really deserve a prize for their work. Especially one of them, Yuen Wo Ping, who was preparing fighting scenes (he was also working on such movies as: "Przyczajony tygrys, ukryty smok" or " Pijany Mistrz"). I enjoyed watching "the Matrix" very much. The brothers Andy and Larry Wachowski made one of the greatest movies of the decade. I recommend it to everyone. Nobody should be bored while watching it.
