'The Hours' is an adaptation of a novel written by Michael Cunningham. It is a story about three women searching for sense of life. It is deeply emotional, full of passion story inspired by life and writing of Virginia Woolf. The movie's director is Stephen Daldry. The cast includes three celebrities: Nicole Kidman, Meryl Streep and Julianne Moore. The movie won the Golden Globe for Best Drama Film in 2003 and received nine Academy Award nominations.

The action is set in three different places and ages: New York in the 20th century, London in 1923 and Los Angeles in 1949. Clarissa publishes books, Virginia writes books and Laura is a housewife. Their stories intersperse with each other and they connect together in surprising moment of revealing the secret.

The soundtrack of the film, made by Philip Glass, is hypnotizing and magic. The acting is glorious! Three stars of Hollywood played perfectly. Furthermore, Nicole Kidman won the Globe for The Best Dramatic Actress and the Oscar for the Best Actress for her role.

'The Hours' is absolutely a leading movie. It is a beautiful film about everything that is the most important in our life. It forces us to think about our life in a different way. It gives us hope and a valuable lesson of real happiness. I recommend it especially for real connoisseurs. It is worth seeing!
