American culture is considered immoral and showing no respect for any kind of authority. It has great influence on the culture of the whole world and this influence may appear disastrous.
In one of the Polish cities, two young boys brutally murdered their friend. They explained to the police that they had seen such murder in the American movie. They just wanted to become real heroes, like these from the film. Contemporary world doesn't consider such deeds strange or shocking. In my mind, the influence of American culture is basically one of the reasons of such situation. It propagates violence, rebellion and it teaches us how to be inhumane. The spread of it strengthens such behaviors.
First of all, American popular culture shows many violent scenes and criminal life. You will see such things as killing, robbing or raping in TV or in the movies. When you watch the American TV, most of the things you see include fighting- both physical and verbal. People in the shows expose details of their private life, argue and speak vulgarly. Swear words are common in the movies, in songs and in writing. The rate of different kinds of crimes in the US rises constantly. Each year more and more children are involved in criminal life. In contemporary world, violence is not only ubiquitous, but also popular.
Furthermore, young people almost all around the world follow bad American patterns. They learn pretending to be someone else. It may happen, that they completely forget who they really are. I think that imitating others, the teenagers cheat not only their friends and families, but also themselves. In my opinion, most of famous American people are simply created by the specialists. There is no truth in them. Many young people don't realize that and want be just like them. In reality, most of American celebrities are drug addicts or heavy drinkers. They are not able to live normally. There is certainly no good in trying to be like them. Imitating such people makes you false as well.
Moreover, in America it often happens that people rebel against the authorities. I cannot understand the stupid rules that are followed by American people. They understand freedom in a different way than I do. They tend to tolerate strange and weird behavior, but on the same time they rebel against everyone who thinks in a way different than theirs. In America it is acceptable to drive a car when you are sixteen. People accuse others of many different things. They go to the court to solve simplest problems. In my mind, they should be made follow more strict rules.
To sum up, I think that the influence of American culture on our lives is very negative. It made us consider violent behavior normal and not to follow moral and legal rules. We want to identify with false authorities, who are only products of mass-culture. I think that there are no good points of the impact of the American culture on us. In makes damages to our personality and morality.
