Dear Madame/Sir

I am writing to express my discontentment with the quality of food and service I received at your restaurant two days ago.

First of all, although I booked a table for eight, in a non-smoking area, when I came to the restaurant my friends and me were seated at a table for six in a smokin areag. When I comaplined about that to thewaiter, I was told that the restaurant was overcrowded and that was the only table left. It was my birthday and I had invited my friends to a birthday dinner at your restaurant and it was for us very uncomfortable to seat at the table for six while there were eight of us.

Furthemore, the quality of the food we were served was very poor. While the soup was not hot enoug, the meat was overcooked and orange juice seemed past its sell-by date. Moreover, the cutlery was dirty and the waitress that was attending our table was chewing a gum, which I consider very rude.

I would suggest that you take more care about making reservations for the tables so that everyone could seat at the table they booked. Moreover, it would be advisable for you to oversee the preparation of food personally.
