Dear Daisy,
I really need to ask you for some advice. I have serious problems in relationship with my boyfriend.
I am eighteen years old. I am in the last class of the High School. I Have known Mike- my boyfriend since we were children. We used to be friends and mates but a year ago we started to go out together. I think we really love each other. We used to spend wonderful time together, but suddenly something started to change. As the summer holidays were over and the school started, I noticed that my boyfriend behaves in a different way than he used to. He is generally very cheerful and active, but in last to months he became nervous and lazy. At firs I thought that he was simply tired with school and wants to have as much free time as he had during summer, but now think it is something more. He stopped going to the swimming pool, which used to be his hobby. He doesn't want to go out with me- he only wants to stay home and read a book or listen to the music. I thought that he met some other girl, but it is not true. He says he loves me and he thinks that I am the best girl in the world. But- he says- he is too tired. He has lost about 8 kilos and looks really bad. He spends much time on learning, but he gets worse grades than ever. What is more- although I am a bit ashamed of writing that- he lost interest in sex at all.
I am afraid that he is depressed, perhaps even ill with depression. How can I help him? What can I do?
Please, give me some advice. I am looking forward to your answer.
Yours sincerely
Aa
