The kind of music that is my favourite is rock music. I can relax very easily when I hear this music. There are two genres of rock: hard rock and soft rock. I listen to both of them but which one I choose depends on how I feel. I listen to hard rock when I am in low spirit. I look like a fan of metal: I have long hair and I always wear black clothes. However, I do not belong to this subculture, even if I sometimes listen to bands that play metal music. I just like dark colours. I also have dark jeans, similar to those that the hippies had. They are called bell-jeans. I listen to many different bands, both Polish and English. I think that the foreign music is better somehow. My favourite bands are; Kult, Myslovitz, Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Beatles, Savatage, The Cranberries, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, TSA, Deep Purple, Creed, Dream Theatre. I began listening to this music seven years ago. I have learned to listen this music from my older brother. We often listen to it together. When I was very young he played this music and I had to listen. I did not like it at that time but later I started to like it. All my friends listen to this music and we often exchange CDs. I believe that it is the best kind of music, it definitely better than, for example: techno, hip-hop and disco. I hate those kinds of music and I do not like the people who listen to such music. There are about ten people in my school who listen to it and I do not understand why they do it. I like not only rock but also: reggae and punk. However, there are some disco songs which I like but there are only few of them. They are, for example: what is love, dura - dura and blue.
My parents also like rock music but they prefer older bands. The modern music is sometimes too loud for them. They listen to Perfect, Dżem, Lady Pank and Elvis Presly. My favorite song is "Nothing else matters" by Metallica. From Polish songs I like " Arahja" by Kult most.
