Probably you know the book that I will talk about. This series was very popular in Poland yen years ago. The author of those books is Margit Sandemo and the title is "Saga o ludziach lodu".
The books tell the story of an unusual Norwegian family. The story begins 800 years ago and the series tells its history up to modern times. The members of this family are different from normal people because they posses some magical abilities. They are prophets - they can foresee the future. But the plot does not concentrate on this fact. The main characters are similar to other people as they also love, hate, the events make them sad or happy. Normal, human, life is mixed with some fantastical situations. This aspect makes those books similar to other family sagas.
Although many elements of the series are similar to those which appear in books like "Saga Forsythów", I enjoyed reading "Saga o ludziach lodu". I recommend it especially to the people who are interested in Norway.
