Sanok is a small town in the South - East of Poland. It is beautifully placed near the Bieszczady Mountains and Solina Lake. It is perfect place for holidays away from big cities.
Sanok is surrounded by the forested hills and it is placed on the hill too. It is not big town but with everything what is needed. You can always go for a walk or take a ride on a horse back. It may be very exciting experience especially during sunset or sunrise. Then you can see the towers of churches uttering from the fog. During the day you can just walk through the steets of the town. You can be sure that you won't suffer from the noise because the traffic is not so intensive as in big cities. If you are bored with the exploring you can go shopping to the shopping center which is on a main street of the town. You will find there a wide range of goods. You can also buy there some souvenires connected with Sanok and Bieszczady. If you are interested in history you can visit a Historical Museum which is placed in the old, XVI th century castle. You can admire there the biggest in Poland exhibition of icones and the archeological excavations. There is also permanent exhibition of paintings of famous painter - Zdzisław Beksiński. Moreover, you can visit the Open Air Museum where you can learn something about life and people who used to live in this part of Poland and Ukraine.
There are a lot of interesting things to be done in Sanok. You can swimming in the pool, or fishing. You can also visit the nerarby town - Lesko, where you will get the best icecream in Poland. You can also go to Solina Lake where you can borrow a yacht and sail. I am sure that stay in Sanok would be the best holiday of your life.
