From the beginning of human existance people were always trying to make their life easier. That is why we had created the industry. We started to invent modern machines but they needed too much energy. People started to think how to get more energy. At first the coal was used as the source of energy but it was not enough for people. The output of the coal was too expensive and too small for the needs. People did experiments on gas. It was supposed to be much better source of energy than coal, but again it was not enough for people. Nowadays the most popular source of energy is the nuclear power. Will there be the neccesity of looking for some other source of energy?
In my opinion the nuclear power stations are the best provider of energy. They are quite cheap, eco - friendly and energy - efficient. This is what makes it so competitive on the market. The coal was much more difficult to output, it caused the death of many miners. On the other hand the use up of coal produced smog and was one of the cause of ozon hole. Of course the nuclear power stations has got its disadvantages too. There is always a great risk of meltdown inside the nuclear reactor which may cause even an atomic explosion. However, there is very low risk of explosion in such nuclear power station.
Unfortunately there are no nuclear power stations in Poland. There is a lot of people who are against it as they are still afraid of the explosion which took place in Czarnobyl in 80'. I don't blame them but on the other hand we are surrounded by that kind of stations and so the risk of explosion and radiation is the same as if there were the nuclear plants in Poland.
We know that the neccesity is mother of invention, so probably the atomic power is not the last source of energy. Some people say that the fututre lays in solar power. Will it be the best way of acquiring energy? I think we need to wait for the answer.
