What has Supraśl got to offer to the turist? Everything from historical architecture to the peaceful rest in the bosom of nature. It is a small town in the North - East of Poland. This charming place is situated just 18 km from Białystok which is a big city. So if you are looking for a good place to relax, near to the nature and city atractions Supraśl is just perfect.
Supraśl offers a lot of atractions for those who love the remnants of history. It is full of places which are worth to be seen. A short drive along the forested road takes you to the Buchholtze Palace which was founded in 1892. Its classical architecture and lovely park around it makes the place more interesting. Next to the mentioned palace you will find another one named Archimandryt Palace. A lot of "just married" come there to take photos in that picturesque area. Directly opposite to the palaces you will find Bazylian Orthodox Church established in XVII century.
If you are not a supporter of hisory and architecture you should visit the Wierszalin theatre and see one of their brilliant performances. After the show you can go to the pub and try some of the local beer which is not only cheap but also very tasty. If you would like to invite your lady for the romantic date there is a nice little café in the center of the town.
Another advantage of this small town is that you don't have to stay in a hotel. If you are interested in typical holiday on the river bank you should pitch your camp on the Jurek's campsite. You will find there not only a sandy beach and perfectly clean river but also a small bar with fried fish and cold beer. After the bath in the river you can go for a walk to the forest where you can find rare examples of flora and fauna. This fitness trail is good in all four seasons as Supraśl has been proclaimed a health - resort since 1998. I invite you to come to Supraśl especially in the spring when you will have occasion to take part in "Uroczysko" - days of the local culture and art. I recommend it to those who are interested in folk art.
