Easter in Poland is celebrated in a special way. A week before Easter everyone cleans and tidies up its flat and spends hours on shopping. A lot of tasty dishes such as cakes, salads and eggs are prepared. The eggs are painted with a various colour.
It is established that on Good Friday we don't eat meat and we take part in Liturgy of Good Friday. All kinds of food which will be consumed during the Easter are blessed on holly Saturday by a priest. On Easter Sunday we celebrate Resurrection of Jesus and we have a very special breakfast during which we eat the food was blessed. On Easter Monday there is the tradition to splash everyone with water.
