I am happy to welcome you in the new museum. I am Dorothy and I am the newest model of robots. I am going to celebrate the beginning of 22nd century with you. We are also going to look back on the 21st century and farwell it. You are going to see the terrific exibition and I am certain that you will find it wonderful. Now, please try to relax and enjoy the new experience. At the beginning we move back to the year 2003.
We are in the world of our grandparents. People, who lived in those times had very difficult lives. Most of them had to work every day from 7 a.m. to 3 or 4 p.m.- can you imagine that? Today it seems silly for us, but our ancestors did not realize, that each person has its own biological rythm and works most efficiently in different hours of day and night. Now, you can see people walking in the park. Can you see this girl? She is 17 years old and although she looks pretty, she is very unhappy. You may ask- why? The answer is simple- at the beginnig of the 21st century, children and teenagers were made to go to school every day. They had to spend there up to 8 hours. In the afternoons thay had to do homeworks. Those of you, who are under 18 are really lucky! In 2034 the Chenease scientists proved that if you use good methods of learning, you may aquire much knowledge learning only 3 hous each day. Thanks to this discovery, you don't have to work as hard, as your grandparents and you have no homeworks.
And now we move to the streets of the city. Can you see those strange vehicles? These are buses. Such vehicles were used as a mean of transportation, when they had to go to work or to school. Each time they went out of the house, thay would be afraid that they might miss the bus. They used to be late for work and school and they were very stressed because of that. The teleportation machines, which we now use to get anywhere we want, were constructed in 2055. They enable us to travel all over the world without any difficulties and losing no time.
Moreover, there were also smaller vehicles called 'cars'. Most people had their own car and they didn't realize, thet a car is a bad mean od transportation. Cars were very small, uncomfortable and they produced fumes, which polluted the air. Nowadays, we cars are no longer used. Instead, we have air-ships, which are safe, much quicker and cheaper. We can see cars in museums only.
As the 21st century started, people on Earth had to deal with a very serious problem. The natural environment was badly polluted. People were not used to segregating litter, defending nature from the threat of terrible disaster. Although we managed to minimize the effects of our ancestors' mindlessness, we still have to cope with some problems caused by them. The greatest damage was caused by the wars, in which nuclear power was used.
You may think that human life is totaly different today, than it was a century ago. But it is not true. There are also things, which remained unchanged. These are people's emotions and psychies. People managed to construct intlligent machines and robots (just as myself). They also learned, how to find best friends and lovers. And they still feel passionate love, hate and many other emotions.
Thank you very much for visiting our museum. I hope, you had fun looking at life from distant history. We are going to prepare new exibitions, so please visit us again.
