In my opinion in the year 2050 fashion will resemble the contemporary fashion. I think that the clothes of today are much more versatile and practical in comparison with clothes of previous centuries. We are no longer wearing corsets, crinolines, numerous petticoats and elaborate headdresses. I think that clothes are now as simple (and at the same time practical and attractive) as they could be. This is why fashion will not change much. Of course there will always be fashion shows and great stylists. But the changes they will be introducing will be small - this year white lace dresses and flat sandals will be fashionable, next year colourful ruffles and stiletto heels, and so on - but the silhouette will remain very similar to that of today.

What may really change are the textiles. Probably new textiles will be introduced and just as there appeared "non iron" clothes in the 20th century, there may appear clothes which will not need washing, because they will not get dirty. However, natural fabrics will always be the healthiest. They will become rare and they will be getting more and more expensive. This is why only rich people will wear clothes made of cotton, silk and wool, while the rest will wear less expensive clothes of synthetic fibres.
