I have been learning English for 7 years - I started in the primary school. I think that everybody should know it. English is like Latin was 2,000 years ago. If you know it, you can communicate with everybody. The most difficult thing when learning English is the pronunciation. We say the words in a different way than they are written, not like in Polish. If your pronunciation is wrong you have difficulties with communication. That is why we should practice it as much as possible. The best way to do it is to talk, listen to talking and read aloud. English grammar is also difficult, especially tenses - there are too many of them. On the other hand, learning vocabulary is not difficult.
