"The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" is the movie directed by Peter Jackson. It is the screen version of the first part of the fantasy trilogy entitled "The Lord of the Rings" written by Tolkien. The main characters in the book as well as in the movie are: elves, Hobbits, gnomes, dwarfs and other fantastic creatures. The movie presents the story of the war between good and evil.
The main hero Hobbit Frodo (played by Elijah Wood) received a magic ring. The magic ring was desirable by Sauron, who was the lord of the darkness. To beat Sauron, Frodo had to destroy the ring. But it wasn't easy. The ring must be destroyed in the land called Mordor, which was the kingdom of Sauron.
Frodo started his dangerous journey with his friend Sam. They created the Fellowship of the Ring consisted of representatives of every race lived on the planet: Legolas, which was the elf played by Orlando Bloom, Gimli, who was the dwarf, representatives of human: Boromir and Aragorn as well as Pippin and Meriadok, who were Hobbits. The Fellowship was leaded by the most experienced wizard named Gandalf (played by Ian McKellen). The team was followed by Sauron's army consisted of monsters. They were ready to do everything to steal this magic ring. When they would succeed in stealing it, Sauron would receive the enormous power and would destroy the good. At the end of the movie, Frodo managed to find the Mordor, but the viewers aren't if he destroyed the ring. This will be explained in the second part of the trilogy.
The movie had thirteen nominations to the Oscar, which is the world's most prestigious movie award. The movie gained such popularity thanks to the amazing plot and actors' acting. The sound track is great and the sceneries, where the movie was shot, are marvelous. This movie influences on our imagination and we have an impression that we are living in this magic world full of fantastic creatures and journeys. This is the movie directed not only for children, but also for adults, who love legends. I'm certainly sure that every part of "The Lord of the Rings" is really worth watching.
