Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to refer to the celebration we held at the Royal Hotel on Sunday, 16th June. There are numerous grievances and a lot of disapproval on my part.

Firstly, although we had reserved our place for 7 p.m., the table was unprepared until 7:30 pm. When we at last sat down for dinner, we noticed that there were only fish and chips on the menu, in spite of the advertisement of a wide variety. Besides, the room was little and unventilated.

The disco did not start until 10 p.m. and we had to wait for the disc to arrive just before we were about to leave. Several people actually left party because of their frustration and the mood was depressing.

I expect you to consent that it was a terrible and unacceptable evening. I would be indebted if you could apologize to my acquaintances and repay at least half the charge for the food and drinks.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,

XYZ
