Is there anything in your appearance that you would like to change? Maybe your nose is too big or your lips too small? Have you got wrinkles on your face? What about your breasts - are they sexy enough? If you want to be more beautiful there is one, easy way to make your dreams come true - the plastic surgery. Nowadays we can see more and more advertisements like this. If you have got money you can do with your appearance what ever you want. Unfortunately very often the cosmetic operation is being abused and may cause a lot of troubles.
You can have operated everything - nose, mouth, teeth, cheeks, hair, all face, the whole body. It is just the matter of money. If you are rich you can change yourself absolutely and brring back the youth, the problem is that there are more and more youth who decide to have an operation.
Of course I cannot say that the idea and development of the cosmetic madicine is wrong because it may safe many lifes. There is a lot of people who need the operation. Somebody who was burned or had an accident deserves this kind of surgery. It will help them to come back to normal life in a society were is no place for ugly people. But is it fair when people instead of helping another who are in need spend thousands of dollars to improve one's apperance?
Unfortunately, very often those who are in real need cannot afford it. They have to live with their complex and nowbody would help them. In the same time the suregery clinics are full of rich, bored people who came there just to cheer themselves up. In my opinion it shouldn't be like that. Moreover, those rich people make the prices higher and higher because they can afford it while it becomes more unaffordable for average people.
In such cases I am wondering where is the morality of the doctors? They were swearing to help people in need. There was nothing mentioned about the money. In my opinion the best solution is to take the money, the big money from those who are just fulfiling their vanity and to take nominal fee from those who are injured.
Finally, I think that it would not stop the hunger for beauty and perfection. People are strange creatures who are never satisfied. There will be always something wrong, what could be changed for better. But will it give us happiness? Is the appearance the most important thing in our lives?
