Life in a city has both its advantages and disadvantages. Many people living there consider such life very tiring. They dream about moving to a town or to small village. On the other hand, there are many people, who love to live in big cities. I find it difficult to say definitely, if it is better to live in a city or in a country. When you live in a city, you can entertain in many ways. There are several museums, theaters and cinemas. One has better contact with culture. There are more shops, pubs and restaurants, where one can spend free time. Also the level of education in the cities is much higher than in small towns and villages. People have more possibilities to choose, when they decide, what they want to do in their lives. Young people can learn more and there are more places to work. The salaries are usually higher in the cities. As there are many more people in a big city, one is totally anonymous. People don't gossip around so much, they don't know much about their neighbors. One can hide his or her privacy from others.
Although there are many pros of living in the city, there are some disadvantages of it as well. First of all, cities are very noisy. There are thousands of cars, which not only make noise, but pollute the air as well. The rate of crimes is very high in the cities. Robberies and murders happen here more often then in small towns.
When I think about my future, I think that I would not like to live in a city. I definitely prefer life in a country or in small town. I would like to have my own house there and visit the city only if it is necessary.
