Dear Madam or Sir

It is with regret that I feel I must write to express my disappointment with the prize that I won in the competition "Travel the world" organized by your company.

As a winner of the first prize I was awarded a collection of books and DVDs about Africa. At least, that is what I had chosen for my prize when I entered the competition. In fact, however, what I received in a parcel that you sent me, was a collection of books and DVDs about Europe. Moreover, I had to pay the shipping costs for the delivery of the parcel.

What caused my strongets dissatisfaction, however, is the fact that half of the DVDs are damaged and it is impossible to watch them. What is more, the cover of one of the books is missing and pages of two other books are torn.

I tried to contact your company however it was hardly possible to phone the Department of Compalints because no one picked up the phone for three days. When finally one of the office workers anserwed the phone, I was shocked by her rudness. I was told that I am a fussy person and if I do not like the prize I can throw it away. I consider it absolutely unacceptable to be treated in this way. It looks like your company do not respect your clients at all. What is the point organizing competitions if you are not able to fulfill the conditions of it? I would like to remind you that these are the condiditon your company deteremined itself.

I expect an apology for your employee's behaviour and exchange of the damaged collection for a new one or a refund. I hope you consider my complaint as soon as possible.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully

Ewa Kownacka
