Dear Ewa
I'm very sorry about your failed matura exam. It's really a surprise for me because I know what a good student you've always been and how much time you spent preparing for the exam. That must've been your unlucky day! I can imagine how depressed you feel and I really wish I could be with you right now. I understand the failure is a setback to your plans as you can't go to university but really-it isn't a disaster.I know there are no words that could make you feel better but I'm going to try to console you, anyway.
You're absolutely right that you want to resit the exam next year-I'm sure you'll pass it! But there's no reason why you should spend this year sitting at home and despairing. There are ups and downs in everyone's life and you can't help it. You should make use of the next couple of months as much as possible.
First of all, I think you should occupy yourself with something in order not to have any have time to think about your failure. I have a suggestion for you; a friend of mine who lives in England has mentioned to me recently that he knows an English couple looking for a foreign baby-sitter. Don't you think it's a great opportunity for you? You could spend this year in England looking after a child, earning some money and improving your English. I think it would be a great experience -you'd get to know new culuture and new people. And you'd be too busy to think how depressed you are! What do you think? Do you like the idea? If so, let me know about it and I'll try to contact that English couple.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Take care and don't give up!
Hugs and kisses from
Anna
