Biography of Shirley Bloom
Shirley Bloom was born in 1966 in Middlesbrough, in the north-east of England. She attended Croocksbarn Primary school there and in 1981 she was admitted to Teacher Training College in Newcastle. She graduated in 1984 and then enrolled to a course in psychology at the University of Newcastle. She graduated from the university with MA degree in 1988 and started working at St. Peter's Primary School in Stockton-on-Tees. Three years later she became involved in an organization supporting teaching English as a foreign language.
In 1992 she was sent to Poland when she taught English at a secondary school in Cracow for four years. There she fell in love with her workmate, Adam Zagórny.They got married in May 1998 and three years later their twin sons, -Robert and Tomasz, were born. The whole family moved to Cardiff in 2001 where they still have been living today.
