Everybody has some hobby. Some people collect stamps or old coins. Other people like to spend time in front of the computer. Men often catch fishes and women like going to shops. We all need, from time to time, to do something that is funny and gives us pleasure. Something that is different from our normal life.
I have two hobbies that I like most. They are taking care of my dog and sitting in front of the computer. I often walk with my dog and play with him. I like him very much and he likes me too. He likes me more than other members of my family, maybe because I give him food. My parents and my sister also like him and we all think that he makes us all happier. He also guards our house from thieves and other criminals.
My dog's name is Atos and he is a wolfhound. He has short dark fur. He is a very friendly animal but only for the people that are not afraid of him. If he feels that somebody fears, he starts barking. He also does not like aliens. I like him because I do not feel alone when I am at home and my parents are at work. He sleeps in my room and goes with me everywhere. He is very funny and I often laugh because of him.
My second hobby is the computer. I think that it is a very useful tool. I can do many things on it: I can play, write homework, count and look for information in the Internet. I sit in front of the computer when I want to relax when I have a hard day at school. I think that in the future I will do something connected with computers because I am very interested in them I like reading about programs and testing them. I do not believe that I could function properly without a computer. Sometimes I even think that I spend too much time using it. Especially my family is worried about me. They believe that I am addicted.
I have other hobbies that I like but not as much as the two. I collect postcards and cook, when I have time. Some time ago, when I was younger, I had an aquarium and fishes. But finally, all the fishes dies and we did not buy new ones. I also get bored with them. I cannot spend much time for other hobbies because I am in the secondary school and I have to learn very much. My younger brother who is still in the primary school can do more things. He makes photographs, catch fishes, collect stamps, play computer and board games and rides a bike. There is one hobby that I do not understand. It is catching fishes. For me it is boring.
I believe that we should have some hobbies because they allow us to spend time in a good way. We can develop our mind, relax and forget about problems of everyday life. We can also meet new people who like doing the same things.
