I am very interested in computer graphic and I will tell you some things on this subject. Computer graphic is a very general term and there are many sub-branches of it. There is one particular category of computer graphic that is called typography. The people, who deal with typography, like me for example, work on everything connected with fonts. They make new types of fonts, change the texts so that they look good. Formatting a text is not an easy task and there are many rules that should be obeyed during the work. If somebody does not do it, his work may be unpleasant to read. It happens sometimes that a great book is published so badly that nobody wants to buy and read it.

Nowadays, I am occupied with making my own web page. Unfortunately it takes a long time to prepare and I do not know when I would finish it. I also work on texts for my school, especially for the newspaper of our school.

Now I will tell you something about computer languages and programs that I use during my work. There is one programming language that I would like very much to have and use. It is called TeX. It is amazing; I had a chance to observe its possibilities and I was stunned. It can do everything. It is an ideal, rally THE programming language. There is a story that the authors of it promised to give a huge award to any person who will find any flaws in it. I think that I will start learning it in the future.

It was about the future. Nowadays I must use programs that have lower quality than TeX. I use Corel Draw 8 for vector graphic and Corel Photopaing 8 when I work with bitmaps. As the main text editor I use good, old Microsoft Word 1997. Unfortunately the last program is really too old. But I have to use now; maybe in the future I will obtain a better version. The way I deal with computer graphic may be different from what you usually think about working on graphic. I neither draw nor paint. However, the things I do are very interesting for me and this is what really counts.

I know much about formatting texts because it is a work that my father deals with. He taught me many things and also caused me to get interested in this subject. He works with books and he knows many things about publishing and editing. He explained to me the meaning of some acronyms, like dpi which means "dots per inch".

I like my hobby because there is always much to do. I am still learning and discovering new things. I know something but it is still a very small knowledge. I think that computer graphic is what I want to do in my life.
