When I was younger I wanted to live in a very, very big house. A castle for example. Those were the dreams of a child and such dreams usually disappear when the children grow older. But my dreams stayed with me. I still want very much to have a really big house. It should be unique; it should have a specific atmosphere. I would like to have a huge house in a beautiful landscape: for example in a forest full of very old and high trees.
The house would be surrounded by a stone wall with a big wooden gate. There would be flowers every where and the road from the gate to the house would be paved with stone. Lanterns would be on both sides of the road. In the area between the wall and the house there would be a garden with many kinds of trees and flowers, some of them would be exotic. The house itself would have a red tilled roof and white walls. A beautiful marble stairs would lead into the first floor of the house.
On the first floor there would be 7 rooms, each of them would be very big. There would be a room for reading, something like a small library. The room would be filled with bookcases and there would be comfortable armchairs to sit when reading. This room should be very light to allow for easy reading. The second room would be a music room with many different instruments and also a CD player and stereo system. This room would be much darker than the first one but there would also be many comfortable places to sit.
The next room would be an entertainment room. It would be a room used to play games and spend time in a nice way. There would be tables for the games and a lot of pillows to lie on. I think that I would spend a lot of time there. At the back of the house there would be a greenhouse and small vegetable garden. I would like to have my own vegetables on the table. Looking after the plants is also a good way of relaxing yourself after hard work in an office. Inside the greenhouse there would be also a number of exotic flowers from the most distant part of the world.
The kitchen which would be in my house would be equipped in all kinds of modern kitchen utilities. There would be a dishwasher, a microwave, an oven, a kitchen robot and many more. Next to the kitchen there would be a huge dining room. I would like to have many parties and invite many guests to my house so there should be enough space for them. There would be a big table for 40 people and wooden chairs. The room would be decorated with paintings and there would be no electrical light: only candles and torches. I think that it would be very nice: to eat in a room which looks like a medieval dining room.
The living room would be between the dining room and entertainment room. It should be very cosy. There would be a fireplace and big, comfortable armchairs. On the wall there would be a TV screen, 21 or larger. There would be other equipment like DVD or Video as well. I would have a satellite TV of course.
On the second floor there would be many bedrooms: for me, my family and for guests. Beds would be large, possibly for two persons. Rooms would be painted in light colours and there would be big windows. Each room would have a big, old, wooden wardrobe for clothes. I would put Turkish carpets in each room. The second kind of room on the second floor would be bathroom, and there would be three of them. Each would be equipped with a shower and a bath. In one of them there would be a Jacuzzi. In the cellar beneath the house I would have bottles and cans with all kinds of alcohol, starting from beer, through wine to vodka. Besides a cellar with alcohol there would be a swimming pool because I like swimming very much.
I know that such a house would be very expensive but I have a whole life in front of me and who knows what would happen in the future…
