"The Pianist" is one of my favourite movies. It produced in 2002 and it was directed by one of the Polish famous director - Roman Polański. The Adrian Brody starred in this movie and played a title role.
"The Pianist" is a kind of biography movie. It is devoted to Władysław Szpilman's life. Szpilman was an excellent pianist, but unfortunately he was a Jew. The action took place during the Second World War, when Jews were persecuted. The whole his family was murdered, because of the fact that they were Jews. Fortunately Władysław Szpilman was saved thanks to his friend, but he had to work in a Work Camp. Once he ran away from the camp and hid himself in a small flat. At the end of the movie German Soldiers left Warsaw, because the war was over. Then Władysław Szpilman helped to other Jews and he began to build his new home.
I would like to recommend this movie everyone who wants to learn something about history and about the life of this famous artist.
