The Day of Jane's long waited-for meeting finally approached. It was a cold, windy evening and in the light of a street lantern she could noticed, first that winter, snowflakes. In one moment she regretted that she had accepted to meet an architect so far away from home.

The frost made the streets very slippery so she had to be very careful in order not to cause any accident. After over an hour of looking for a right place, she finally managed to locate the building. To her great astonishment she found herself in a completely derelict house. With slight hesitation she moved towards it. While she was passing next to the hedge she felt that somebody or something was watching her. "It's just my imagination" - she calmed herself. Little did she realize what she was still going to discover. On the front door, there was stuck a piece of paper with a couple words on it: "You came in, but you will not get out of here". A few drops of sweat appeared on her forehead. A second later she heard a rustle of leaves behind her and saw two sparkling eyes staring at her. She begun to move back very steadily. Her hands were trembling. For a few seconds the world stopped spinning around. A great, black panther emerged from the bush. Jane turned back into the direction of the gate and begun to run as fast as never before. She grabbed the handle but the gate didn't at all. Without thinking she started climbing. Yet she was not fast enough. The panther grasped a piece of her coat and tried to pull her down. With last effort she managed to escape. When she got into the car she felt a sight of relief. "Had I reacted three seconds slower, God knows what might have happened". - she thought.

At the crossroad she noticed the name of the street right the opposite. It was the street she should have chosen.
