I live near Wadowice. The city lies in Southern Poland in Małopolska, near the Skawa River. It is rather small town; there are about 20,000 inhabitants of Wadowice. It is very famous in Poland and in the world because the Pope John Paul II was born there. Because of that many people come to Wadowice to see the house where Karol Wojtyła lived, the church, his school and many other places. There are many shops in Wadowice, especially on the Zatorska Street, and on Mondays there is market day. There is also a cinema, a swimming pool, hospital and many secondary schools in the city. The biggest firm in Wadowice is Maspex. We often go and play football; on the stadium I like going to the swimming pool with my friends - we also go there from school. We do not like swimming in Skawa because it is polluted. Another problem are the holes in the roads.
