The National Gallery in London was set up in 1824. The gallery is located on Trafalgar Square and there its main entrance is. There are always a lot of tourists. There you could admire probably the greatest collections of paintings painted by the most famous European painters in the world. There are a lot of permanent exhibitions. To them we can consider such exhibition as:

- "Telling Time" exhibition which presents the fascinated relationships between art and time. There you could admire art works painted by Rembrandt, Munch and Turner. In the nearest room there was the "eye-tracking" device, which shows how the same act of admiring the paintings is a kind of process which is changing over the years.

- "Impression: Painting Quickly in France 1869 - 1890". It is the exhibition directed to famous impressionists. Edward Monet in 1860 started painting his works with informal oil sketches and then he exhibited them as ready paintings. During the next decades such artists as Morisot, Renoir, Sisley and Van Gogh tried to paint in the same way. It was a modern technique. The exhibition is consisted of over 70 paintings made by these artists.

The entry to The National Gallery is free, but "Impressionists Exhibition" is charged. I think that it is worth visiting, because you can admire a lot of famous and breathtaking paintings made by the best artists. Moreover, it is very educative. If you want to learn something about the exposed paintings, feel free to ask the curator and he will explain you everything. If you visit London, you can't miss the visit in The National Gallery.
