Couple years ago I went to England to practice my English skills. I had stayed in Cambridge for six weeks. Before I went to Great Britain I had found some important information about this city. Now I want to describe Cambridge. I know that the town is full of impressive monuments, museums and churches, but I'm not going to focus on presenting any of them and I want to tell you about the magic atmosphere of Cambridge and people I met there.
If you are a clubbing lover, you can't find better place to visit! This city is full of interesting clubs such as "Po Na Na" for example. "Happy Hours" are organized in this club on every Saturday, which means that the crazy party lasts until the daybreak. There are many events for these who are fans of dancing, for example: "Latin Night & Salsa Client Lessons", where clients are taught some basic steps of Latin dances.
My favourite Cambridge's club called "Junction". Unfortunately, it is located outside the city centre, which seems to be its worst disadvantage. What is more, it isn't difficult to mix your way at night when the party is over. The atmosphere of this club is nice, but sometimes you may be tired and bored after a few hours of listening to the new dance music. It never happens when "Boogie Wonderland" takes place. It means that the party with 70's and 80's disco music is set up. Many times the personnel throw flowers and other gadgets into the dancing people. It is amazing!
If you would like to take part in such a party, you must be over eighteen years old. The staff checks properly the identity cards of these who come in. Moreover, there are also parties organised for younger clubbing lovers, but usually they finish after 10 at night. Also the average age of the party members is twelve.
There are numerous pubs and bars in Cambridge. I think that the most popular one is called "Hogshead". But I think that it is too big. I like smaller pubs, dark with a special atmosphere. "Hogshead" is too large and has two storeys. It looks like a restaurant rather than a pub. Such pubs as "Bakers Yard", "The Fountaine" or "Devonshire Arms" are the best. They look like typical English pubs, where you have fun by chatting with friends and drinking beer. The atmosphere in these places is unbelievable! They are a lot of dark corner and always crowded.
Many young people sometimes decide to stay in Parker's Piece rather then going to a club or a pub. It is a park in the centre part of Cambridge. Most of them sit there until late hours in the night and a few of them even overnight. If you are searching a new boyfriend or girlfriend, Parker's Piece is the greatest place where you can try to do it. Young people who like spending there some hours very easily start the conversation. It isn't difficult to find there someone interesting to talk to.
Cambrgide is rather safe and the crime rate is very low. However, keep all your personal stuffs on and don't leave anything unwatched! Sometimes the worth things are stolen. It is joked that David Coperfield did this. So be aware that your wallet or photo camera can be lost very easily.
I think that Cambridge is the best town in Great Britain to spend your holiday. You couldn't find better place to spend your vacation. You find there many attractions and many interesting people who enjoy themselves. The town is definitely worth to visit. If you decide to spend some time in Cambridge, you will take part in the long never-ending party. You will never regret the time you have spent in this amazing city. I'm sure that the memories will stay in your head for a long time.
