Couple years ago I was spending holiday in the north part of France. We arranged the trip across the coast of Brittany and Normandy and we got to the incredible place. It was a huge medieval castle located in the small isle connected with the land by causeway. The isle was small and was surrounded by the ocean. This castle is called St. Michel and it is one of the most beautiful places in France.

The castle was built in 84-meter-high rock and it was made of granite, thanks to which it remains until now. In the front of the castle there were two thin towers, which had to defend the entry. In the middle of castle's cloister there was the sculpture of Saint Michel - the patron of the castle. From the higher part of the castle spread a magnificent view on the ocean.

This old castle, isolated island and ocean created the unforgettable atmosphere of mystery.

If there weren't any other tourists, we would feel like the lords of this medieval castle and the small island.

It is one of the most amazing memories I remember from that trip. I hope I will return to this castle in the future.
