Barcelona is a Spanish city in the South-East of this country by the Mediterranean Sea. When I was in Spain a year ago, I spent much time there, so I can say I know this place a little bit.
Barcelona is a very nice city. The people there are friendly and they always smile. It makes a great atmosphere of the place. The city is cheerful but quiet. In Barcelona you can see numerous monuments and interesting buildings designed by famous people.
One of the most important Spanish ports is in Barcelona. You can get to the city taking a ferry from Maroko. All those, who like visiting museums will certainly enjoy this place. Among others there are- Archeological museum, museum of Picasso or Marine and Military one. Also the "Olympic Village" seems worth visiting. The XXV Summer Olympic Games took place in Barcelona in 1992.
Coming to visit Barcelona, one must see La Sagrada Familia church. They started to build it more than 100 years ago and it is still mot completed. Each tourist ought to go to the Gaudi's gardens as well- it is extremely beautiful there.
The city is also famous for F.C. Barcelona. This is a sport club, which has its football, basketball and handball teams. There are several sport facilities in the city, like the Camp Nou Stadium. Many people go to see the games at the stadium and afterwards visit clubs, shops or museums.
If someone likes shopping, he may find Barcelona a paradise. There are numerous shops in which everyone can find something for himself. There are numerous department stores in Barcelona, as well as hundreds of small boutiques.
There are many different places to entertain. I especially liked Aqua Park and stadiums. But if you like going to the disco, night-club or restaurants, you will find many of them in Barcelona.
I found this city very interesting and I liked it a lot. Barcelonans are nice and they like other people. Most of them speak foreign languages. If someone in my age would like to go there, I would certainly recommend it. You have a chance to spend exciting time in Barcelona, have fun and at the same time- learn a lot.
