A lot of us have idols, who we admire. We try to imitate them, live in the similar way like them or just have the same image. An idol could be not only a pop star, a politician or other famous person, but also some members of family or friends.
Someone I admire most is Zbigniew Preisner. He is a famous music composer and he wrote music for Krzystof Kieślowski's movies such as "Dekalog", "Double Life Of Veronique", "Three colors: White", "Three colors: Red" and "Three colors: Blue". His great masterpiece is "Requiem for my friend", which is dedicated to the memory of Polish famous director Krzysztof Kieslowski.
I admire Zbigniew Presiner for the extraordinary and original music he creates, his great talent and a lot of abilities. Moreover, I think he is the best modern Polish music composer.
He proves everyone, that to become such a great composer you don't need have finished studies on Music Academy. He didn't study on Music academy, because he repeated: "Music schools destroy the identity of artist". However, he writes music for movies and for the whole orchestra!
I think that Zbigniew Preisner is a very modest person: he avoids interviews and presenting himself in TV. He could become a well-recognized celebrity, but in fact he is looking for the pleasure and satisfaction in the work, instead of fans and money.
Quite impressive for me is his way of living. Now, he is living in the country-side in the mountains. Although he can buy ten huge houses in different countries all over the world, he says that in this way he could make "the prison of his own home". In the country-side he can create his music in silence. There aren't any noises, which could interrupt him.
I think that Zbigniew Praisner is the authority. I have to say that I admire him for his talents, music, abilities and modest way of living.
