Panda is the animal species which lives in the mountains in the central part of China. Panda loves easting bamboo. It can eat many different species of bamboo. A lot of hours it spends on looking for the bamboo and eating it. Panda lives in silent places.
Panda's cub is as big as a cat. The cub can't walk for about three months and it has to stay with its mother for about 18 months. A mature panda is about 150-180 cm long and it weighs up to even 75-160 kilos. The cry of panda's cub is similar to the cry of human baby.
It is estimated that all over the world live fewer than 1000 specimen. A lot of them were hunted by the poachers. Panda's black or white fur was a titbit for all these poachers. Today pandas suffer from the decreasing number of bamboo, because a lot of them are cutting down. To protect pandas a lot of stricter laws should be introduced. Only in this way we can prevent poaching.
