Many people, especially those living stressful lives in the city, say that they would love to live in the country. Although rural life has numerous advantages, there are also many disadvantages of it. To begin with good points of such life, it is important to mention, that in a village, you are much closer to nature. You breathe clean air and drink clear water. All plants growing in such conditions are much healthier. The person who lives there, has healthier and less stressful lifestyle than someone living in a city. People in the country have more friends and talk more to the others.

Countryside is considered better place for children to grow up. It is not as dangerous there, as it is i the city.

Nevertheless, rural life has its disadvantages as well. There are less people than in the city and you have quite limited number of people, whom you can meet. Furthermore, if you want to entertain, you have fewer possibilities to do it. There are no pubs, cinemas or theatres.

Moreover, there are not many places to work in the country. Not everyone can be a farmer. There are a few shops and no bigger companies. That is why the rate of unemployment on the countryside is very high. Many people find jobs in different towns and cities and they need to cross long distances to get to work every day. This may make the job unprofitable. The level of education in the schools in villages is in general much lower than in the cities. People have no chance to get good education there.

To sum up, I think that rural life may be suitable for some people. But many of us, especially the young, find the city a better place to live in.
