Last week I saw a really amusing film. It was "A Walk to Remember", made by Adam Shankman. The plot of this movie is based on a novel written by Nicolas Sparks. The story takes place in North Carolina, in the town Beauport. The older man- Shane West- tells the story from his own past. He remembers times, when he was in high school and fell in love with a beautiful girl. This love made complete revolution in the man's life.
Jamie- the girl from the high school- was the last love of Landon. She was a very religious person. She came from extremely conservative family. She had no interests in boys and normal life of teenagers. Her father was the minister in Baptist's church. For her, religion was the issue of highest importance. London, on the other hand, was a sad and moody boy. He didn't care much about religion and he felt that he was a weak person. He made no plans for his future life at that time.
Landon had a group of friends, with whom he liked to organize parties. One of such meetings ends tragically. One of the boys gets injured and has to be hospitalized. Landon is punished. He becomes responsible for one of the younger students. He has to take part in some play organized by school. As he finds himself unable to do it himself, he asks Jamie for help. Although he doesn't like the girl at the beginning, as they work together, he falls in love with her. He is impressed by her ambitions and love of life. Before he met her, he was not able to imagine that such attitude towards life is possible. However, loving this girl is not an easy matter. Although Jamie feels attracted to Landon, she wants to get out of their relationship. But at one moment, it is no more possible to say that they have no relationship.
I would advise all teenagers to see this movie. It is really interesting and original. It is one of the best films i have ever seen.
