Would you like to spend exciting winter holiday? If so, go to the Ice Hotel in northern Sweden- there you will have a chance to live in a huge igloo for a couple of days. To build the Ice Hotel, 2,000 tones of ice and 30,000 tones of snow are necessary. Building of the Hotel starts just as the temperature goes to 3 degrees below freezing.
There are rooms for more than 100 guests in the hotel. Accordingly, there is ice sauna, the Ice Chapel and the Absolut Ice Bar, which is well known around the world. The normal temperature in the hotel is 3 Celsius degrees. But compared to the temperature outside, which happens to fall below minus 30 degrees, it seems quite warm.
In the evenings, you may eat a delicious dinner, prepared by excellent cooks. Afterwards, go to the Absolut Ice Bar. You can meet famous actors and models there, or simply look at the wonderful stars on the Arctic sky. There is no need to worry about keeping warm, when you go to sleep. Each guest of the hotel is equipped with warm sleeping bag. In the morning, visitors get hot drinks and they may go to sauna or have a good breakfast.
There are excellent opportunities for several outdoor sports, like skiing, dog-sledding or ice-fishing in the Arctic.
