People often do not want to waste time for thinking about the problems of other people. In my opinion this is a very bad kind of behaviour. We should think from time to time about the lives of other people. We should also think how to solve their problems. The world would be better if we did it from time to time. If we realised what is wrong with the world we could change it.
In my opinion one of the main problems of the world is that the people pay too much attention to money. They want to be richer and richer all the time; they also want to get it at all cost. They spend too much time on it and forget about other people. They do not spend much time with their families, friends and themselves. They also do not pay attention to the suffering of other people.
The second big problem of our world is crime. We often do not want to go out in the night because we are afraid. We do not want to meet robbers or be attacked. We may also be attacked during the day. We all know what happens during football matches. Also in towns we do not feel safe. The worst thing is that the teenagers commit more and more crimes. What is the cause of this situation? Probably the reason for it is a bad their childhood. They were not brought up correctly. Also the TV is increasing the crime rate. The movies which children watch are full of violence. The children later behave in the same way in real life. The generation gap between the parents and their children is increasing. They do not talk and do not understand each other. The result: children run away from their homes, drink alcohol or take drugs. People do not want to work together. Everybody takes care of himself or herself only. They do not react if something bad happens in their neighbourhood and do not help other people in the streets.
There are not only bad things that happen nowadays. There are many inventions that make out life easier and safer. The doctors can treat diseases that could not be cured before. The people live longer and are healthier. They do not have to work as hard as before because the machines help them. Computers are available to everyone. We use them in work, school and at home. We can easily communicate with other people by mobile phones and the Internet. In the 20th century people started exploring space and the bottom of the sea.
The new inventions are very helpful but they also have disadvantages. Some new technologies cause pollution that destroys the environment. The whole planet becomes contaminated. We pollute the environment: the atmosphere and the water. The animals are also the victims of our actions. We know how to cure old diseases but there are new ones. Some of them threatens the whole world, for example AIDS.
In the 20th century two terrible World Wars happened but the people did not stop fighting. There is always a war somewhere in the world and innocent people are killed. The people constantly construct new weapons to kill each other. They do not listen to the God's commandments even if they say they do. The people who rejected God have lower moral standards. It is very worrying, especially if they are young people.
In my opinion there are many problems in the modern world. The immoral use of new technologies is a serious threat to us all. Moreover, there is a lot of poverty, pollution etc. The humans should unite and deal with those things - and not take care of their own interest only. If we would start helping each other and look what is good for other people the world would be better.
