For over fifty years has been lasting the war between Torun and Bydgoszcz. These are the neighbour cities located in the central Poland. They are fighting for almost everything. They argue about which of them is bigger, better, more prosperous, whose speedway team is better and which of them should be called the capital of the region.
It is said that Bydgoszcz seems to be far ahead of its competitor. Bydgoszcz is bigger and louder then Torun. However, it has bigger crime rate. There are a lot of modern buildings in the city centre. The centre was designed in the square shape. There is also a small park. But unfortunately, it is full of garbage! There are a lot of empty cans and rubbish left form the McDonald's food. And what about Torun? Torun is older, smaller and quieter. There are a lot of historical buildings, which remains for 500 years and the old castle. Besides, Copernicus, who is thought to move the earth, lived there.
So Bydgoszcz's superiority over Torun is clearly seen for me. It doesn't concern the whole city's appearance. Bygoszcz's sportsmen are thought to be better then the ones form Torun. Bydgoszcz is bigger and more superior. I can't believe why Torun is the capital of the region. Politicians accused Bydgoszcz of having a great debt and the fact that Bydgoszcz has poorer economic condition than Torun. What is more, the unemployment rate is very high in Bydgoszcz, which is also its disadvantage.
