Long before there were radio or TV the information was passed by the newspapers. It was the main source of knowledge about events in one's town or city, but also in the country. Nowadays everything has changed. Newspaper are not fast enough to provide people with fresh information. The radio and TV and internet are evrywhere. Press can give us only the reviews of the last day, week, month.
Firstly, the press was just a piece of paper with resume of the day. Later in the newspaper there were printed the information from the whole week and even month. Nowadays there are over two hundret titles waiting in the newsagent's for their readers. As the newspaper was supplanted by the TV and the radio it had to change the direction. Instead of daily news the press is rather printing articles from specified fields of eg. science, technology, art, economics and many others. There are newspapers for all groups of people: women, men, children. Printing newspapers take much longer than broadcasting the news in TV and the radio. But on the other hand thanks to that we have got increasing specialization in every field in the press.
