We aren't aware how polluted is our environment. The results of the environment contamination are floods, droughts and greenhouse effect. Many factors cause the environment contamination. There are some solutions how to protect our natural environment.
Sewage from the factories causes the contamination of water reservoirs. People suffer from the lack of clean water. The water flows from our taps is dirty. Many water animal species die out because of the water pollution. Harmful gases form the cars and fumes produced by factories destroy forests which are called to be the lungs of the Earth. Thanks to the forests also the floods are prevented. Their role consists also in absorbing carbon dioxide. Also the substances contained in sprays can be very harmful, they cause the whole in the ozone layer, so the greenhouse effect is noticed.
Some important steps should be taken. We should sort our rubbish to make sure that most of them will be recycled. Governments should support this action and spend money on development of new technologies of recycling waste. What is more, very high fines and penalties should be imposed on these factories which don't install the filters on the chimneys, pollute the air and flow sewage into natural reservoirs. The ecological awareness should be developed. Pupils at school should take a new subject - ecology. They will be educated by fun. In this way they probably will find out how to protect our environment and what to do to be environmental friendly. They should take part in some ecological competitions to develop their ecological knowledge.
Some ecological movements should be supported. Governments should encourage citizens to change their habits. They have to be shown how to sort rubbish and protect natural resources. Such actions as "Day without car" have to be widely propagated. More ecological friendly products should appear in shops.
The sooner we start protect our environment, the better will it be for us and our health. All of us should try to do something to make our world a cleaner place to live. There are a lot of possibilities. Every our action will benefit in the future.
