Polish, as Czech, Russian and some other languages, originated from the group of Slavonic languages. People from the whole world consider Polish one of the languages, which are most difficult to learn. Even for Poles some aspects of grammar, pronunciation or spelling seem extremely problematic. Although there are thousands of words in Polish, the vocabulary is constantly enriching. We don't have enough words to describe matters connected with business, sciences and technology. There is a growing tendency to borrow some words from foreign languages, especially from English.

As for grammar, it causes many difficulties to all people. Most problematic seems to be the declination of nouns and adjectives as well as the conjugation of verbs. Although there are only three main tenses in Polish language- Past, Future and Present- each one has many different aspects.

As in any language, there are strict spelling rules in Polish. There are sounds that are differently expressed in writing and letters that are spelled depending on the word in which they appear.

Not less complicated for foreigners is the pronunciation. There are vowels, which are extremely difficult to pronounce and which are typical only for Polish language. Poles are often made fun of by other nations because of the strange sounds they speak.

Even though Polish language is very difficult to learn, it is very appropriate to express feelings, emotions and thoughts. For me Polish is the best and the most beautiful language in the world.
