People all around the world know the specialties of Polish kitchen. There is a saying that when the Pole is hungry, he gets angry. Most people in our country eat three or four times a day. Most of us eat big dinners in the afternoon or the supper in the evening. Although it is really very unhealthy to eat late at night, many people do this regularly.

We know that Polish food is very unhealthy- it contains too much fat. That is why more and more people get very fat.

For Poles, food is very important also as a part of our culture. Unfortunately, many people eat when they are bored. They consume chocolate, chips and other snacks.

Another aspect of our unhealthy eating is that we don't eat regularly. What is even worse, more and more people like eating fast food from McDonalds and similar restaurants, which is very bad for their health.

There are many traditional Polish dishes, of which most popular are: pierogi, bigos, chopped pork and other. But today, we can also eat food from other countries- there are many Italian, Chinese and Greek restaurants.

If we want to be healthy, we have to eat more vegetables and fruit and reduce the amount of fat we consume.
