Winter is the season of the year that I like most. I do not like autumn because it is always raining, there is a lot of mud and the days are dark. I must stay at home because there is nothing to do outside. In that time I always wait for the first signs of winter.
In winter there are many things to do. I always ski or ride a sledge. When I was younger I made a snowman every year. The landscape is beautiful - everything is white and mud, rubbish and other ugly things disappear under the snow. The atmosphere of winter is also fantastic. Everybody waits for Christmas and for the New Year. I like this feeling and the preparations very much. Our whole family meets during the Christmas and this is a great event. I am waiting for it the whole year. There is another reason why I like winter: we often go to Zakopnae during the winter holidays. We stay there for one week and we walk on the mountains and ski. Skiing is one of my favourite sports and I like especially skiing in the mountains. In the place where I live there are not hills that are good for it. Because of that I enjoy going to Zakopane very much.
Winter has also some disadvantages. It is a difficult time for the animals because there is not much food in the winter. We should remember about them and help. They can die without it, and is it easy to do something for them. We can give food, for example to birds - it is very easy.
But for me the winter was and is the best season of the year.
