Recently I was talking with my friends about the impact of the technology on life. We discussed a statement that the more technology is in our lives the less we communicate between ourselves. I do not think that it is true, however I will also present arguments of supporters of this statement.
There is more and more technology in our lives and people use it all the time. Sometimes they see only the advantages of new inventions. But they have also disadvantages. For example, the Internet: it seems to be a very good tool, you can talk with people in distant parts of the world or look for new information. E-mail is definitely better than a normal mail: it is faster and cheaper. However, communicating with people through the Internet is worse than talking with them face to face and I do not think that it will replace normal communication in the future. Some people say that the satellite television has no use for them because they do not know foreign languages. It seems to be true: why do you have all the channels if you do not understand them. But listening to foreign languages help you in learning them and because of that sat TV is useful. New technologies allow for quicker communication. The mobile phones allow you to talk with everybody: with people in every corner of the world and with your friends wherever they are. This is definitely useful and good for you.
In the end I would like to say that I stay with my belief. I think that modern technology is very important part of our life and it would be more difficult without new inventions.
