Using computers is both good and bad. I think that the number of disadvantages is higher than the number of advantages.
One of the minuses is the cost, as we need much money to buy a computer and to use the internet. When we have a computer, we must service it and repair when it breaks. The programmes and equipment must be updated to the new information technology standards. With the hardware technology development, we need better parts, such as a larger hard disk, a laser mouse or a wireless keyboard.
WWW has as many pluses as minuses. Pornographic, fascist or brutal websites are the worst it is also possible to get a computer virus via e-mail, which can destroy the computer. A worrying thing is that the computer fans spend a lot of their time in front of the monitor, which is bad for their eyes. Playing computer games and using the internet are indoor activities that young people do instead of playing sports and outdoor games.
Apart from the negatives, one can think also of the positives. Computers and internet help us find important things when we need information. And, of course, there are small computers, like a laptop or a notebook that we can take just anywhere and play "Armageddon" as an outdoor game at the seaside or in the forest.
Internet is great when we want to find information and play games, but it is awful when we must buy the access.
